Determining Oracle Solaris 11 OS Package Update Version

To determine the package version of the Oracle Solaris 11 OS installed on your system: 

 pkg info kernel

Check Available Versions

If you want to update your operating system release, check the available versions of the pkg:/entire incorporation package: 

 pkg list -af entire
